The alternate takes for the born to run album
Submitted by Vic554 on August 17, 2005 - 14:08.A lot of us have heard the amazing takes from Bruce and the band during the recording of the born to run album. In November 2005 the Born to Run 30th anniversary issue with extras is released. The outtakes which circulate on various bootlegs are amazing but I reckon we will not hear the amazing strings versions of Born to Run, Backstreets and Jungleland this time around. The acoustic studio version of Thunder Road is breathtaking and Christine's or Chrissy's dress waves instead of mary's dress in this particular version. You never know pehaps bruce may decide to release these songs in the alternate version in the future.
