A lot of us have heard the amazing takes from Bruce and the band during the recording of the born to run album. In November 2005 the Born to Run 30th anniversary issue with extras is released. The outtakes which circulate on various bootlegs are amazing but I reckon we will not hear the amazing strings versions of Born to Run, Backstreets and Jungleland this time around. The acoustic studio version of Thunder Road is breathtaking and Christine's or Chrissy's dress waves instead of mary's dress in this particular version. You never know pehaps bruce may decide to release these songs in the alternate version in the future.

In some of these takes, we hear subtle lyric changes and in some cases different verses. This stuff is amazing and it give us a little bit of knowledge of how bruce builds a song into the finished version.

Bruce continues to write and perform brilliant albums and sometimes it's good to see the alternative route towards a finished album. The release of Tracks showed us a lot of this but seeing bruce play live is the best experience of his music second to none.
